Volume Creep Testing Machine

Abstract

Volume creep testing machine has been designed to test cylindrical rock salt specimen exposed by petroleum pressure in different pressures and temperatures. The volume creep testing machine comprises: two cells each of which includes some parts like main cell, stabilizer system, insulator layer, heater, support layer, check valve and rubber sleeve. The main cells have the responsibility of retaining petroleum pressure and temperature and applying them to the specimen. A tank is there to store the fluid and transmit it with pressure into the cells through pipes. The tank consists of a hydraulic jack and six check valves as petroleum inlets and outlets. Ultrasonic testing systems are used for measuring the thickness and strain of rock salt frequently. Each ultrasonic testing system comprises two dual element transducers and a memory to store data.
