WAVE ACTIVITY OF THE MESOSPHERE IN THE PLANETARY WAVE RANGE ACCORDING TO OH (3-1) EMISSION OBSERVATIONS AT MAIMAGA AND TIKSI STATIONS FOR 2015–2020
Journal Title: Solar-Terrestrial Physics - Year 2022, Vol 8, Issue 4
Abstract
The article compares the interannual variability of the atmosphere at the OH glow height, which can be associated with planetary wave propagation, at stations spaced in latitude. As a characteristic reflecting planetary wave activity we consider standard deviations of the average overnight temperature σpw from its monthly average after taking into account the seasonal variation. Joint mesopause temperature measurements at high latitudes at two optical stations Maimaga (63.04° N, 129.51° E) and Tiksi (71.58° N, 128.77° E) began in 2015. The stations are equipped with identical Shamrock (Andor) high image quality infrared spectrographs for registration of OH (3-1) in the near infrared region (~1.5 μm). The main result of studying the planetary wave activity during the 5-year period of simultaneous observations is that at Tiksi station it slightly (by about 1–2 K) exceeds that at Maimaga station. In average annual activity fluctuations, the presence of quasi-biennial oscillations is traced.

COMPARISON BETWEEN PROBABILITY DENSITY FUNCTIONS OF VERTICAL ELECTRIC CURRENT IN SOLAR ACTIVE REGIONS BASED ON HMI/SDO AND SOT/HINODE DATA
Studying electric currents in solar active regions (AR) is an essential step in understanding solar activity in general and solar flares in particular. In this paper, we compare probability density functions of vertical...
ESTIMATED INFLUENCE OF STRATOSPHERIC ACTIVITY ON THE IONOSPHERE ACCORDING TO MEASUREMENTS WITH ISTP SB RAS TOOLS
We present the results of a comprehensive study of the manifestation of wave activity with periods of internal gravity waves (IGW) in various regions of the atmosphere: in the stratosphere, upper mesosphere, and in the F...
STUDYING THE RELATIONSHIP OF LOCALIZATION PARAMETERS OF SOLAR SOURCES OF MAGNETIC CLOUDS WITH THEIR CHARACTERISTICS AND SUBSTORM ACTIVITY
We propose a method for determining location and orientation of extended solar sources of magnetic clouds, using coronagraph data and SOHO EIT/MDI images of the photosphere. To estimate the probability of formation of ma...
OBSERVING THE NEUTRON COMPONENT DURING THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY AT A MOUNTAIN CR STATION
During three summer months in 2015, the Cosmic Ray (CR) station Irkutsk-3000, located at 3000 m above sea level, measured the CR neutron component intensity with the 6NM64 neutron monitor, as well as the atmospheric elec...
RESULTS OF JOINT OBSERVATIONS WITH SOLAR SPECTROPOLARIMETER OF METER RANGE WAVELENGTHS AND OTHER INSTRUMENTS
Solar radiation is emitted in the wide frequency range from gamma to radio emission. Hence, joint observations from different instruments and frequency ranges let us to complete full representation of the evolution of so...
