Ways and meander of religious tolerance

Abstract
The purpose of this article is to show the influence of religious affiliation on making opposition "we" - "they" and the perception of "other", "alien". The author concentrates on the concept of religious tolerance. Furthermore it is easily to notice how much the religion is used as an efficient way to pursue a certain policy, which enhances international conflicts. According to the authors (philosophers, thinkers) quoted in the text, we need an ability to adopt the perspective of others and to respect their otherness. It is extremely difficult to achieve religious tolerance at once (like a deus ex machina) - especially among those faiths whose mutual relationship is associated with a history of conflicts and disputes. However, it seems that religious tolerance is the challenge of our times and efforts should be made so that it can be achieved within the shortest possible time.
