Abstract
The article presents fragment of bronze sword scabbard chape found in the early medieval settlement in Stulichy, Węgorzewo distr. Artefact belongs to the group of openwork fittings with bird’s motif, referring to Borre style. It was made in the 10th c., probably in an environment of Scandinavian colonists inhabitied the South-Eastern coast of the Baltic Sea.
