Web-Based Self-Learning System with Progress Report for Students with Special Needs for Senior High School

Abstract
This study aim is to create a Web-based Self Learning System with Progress Report for Students with Special Needs for Senior High School. The self-directed learning system provides context- based learning with video recorded sign language interpreter on MIL subject for Students with hearing impairment. The system provides a pre-test and post -test assessment with prediction algorithm using decision tree learning. The system predicts the learner's status and provides learners progress reports.The system was developed using PHp, HTML, CSS, Javascript and My Sql. The system was evaluated by Three (3) IT Experts using SQuaRE Quality Model with the overall mean score of 3.88 which interpreted as ;Very good in terms of quality. It was also evaluated by selected two SPED Teacher, eight SPED Students and three (3) Quality Assurance Specialist using Evaluation sheet for general reference materials from DepEd with an overall mean score of 34.65 which means that the system is ;PASSED in general reference material evaluation. It greatly helps the student with special needs to improve their comprehension and mastery of the applied subject.
