Wielobiegunowy model ładu międzynarodowego w dyskursie politycznym współczesnej Federacji Rosyjskiej
Journal Title: Gdańskie Studia Międzynarodowe - Year 2012, Vol 10, Issue 1
Abstract
The author attempts to define the concept of multipolarity, provides an overview of the history of its use in the international relations theory and points to its relevance in the context of debates over the shape of the global geopolitical order, paying attention to the mistakes made by some scholars and journalists. In his view, the idea of a unipolar world in which Moscow should become an impor-tant center of power, is today one of the most important elements of the politi caldiscourse in Rus-sian Federation. The author presents the evolution of geopolitical consciousness among the political elite of the Russian Federation from uncritical acceptance of American hegemony to the almost universal belief in the need for a multipolar world order, expressed in socalled „Munich speech„ pronounced by president Vladimir Putin in 2007. The author reconstructs the Theory of a Multipolar World created by Alexander Dugin, under which the alliances of states formed on the ground of common civi lization values gain a status of geopolitical subjects. In this context, a special attention is being paid to the integration projects in the post-Soviet space. A sepa rate part of the ar ti cle is devoted to the position of counter-elites on the Russian world power status and design of a multipolar world.
