Wladyslaw PLASKURA (1905 – 1987)

Abstract

In the 110 anniversary of his birth, we remind the biography of Professor Wladyslaw Plaskura, noble Man with outstanding scientific, professional and organizational abilities. A graduate of the Technical University of Lviv, head of the construction office Nitrogen Plant in Mościce before World War II and long-term prisoner of the Nazi concentration camp in Auschwitz. After the war, the co-creator of the chemical industry, combining employment in the industry with research and teaching activities - as Professor at Silesian University of Technology.
