WORLD ART IN LIFE AND WORK OF TARAS SHEVCHENKO

Abstract
The article is dedicated to consideration of the actual multidimensional problem of interrelations of Shevchenko and European culture, in particular the aspect of world art in his life and work. The influence of T.G. Shevchenko on the works of leading artists of Ukrainian and world culture is newly interpreted. It was found out what role the writer played in the development of our country as a whole. The place of Ukrainian literature among other cultures of the world is outlined.
