„Wspomnienie o Brunonie Bielawskim”. Z notatek Karola Estreichera Seniora

Abstract
The manuscript materials left by Karol Estreicher, which have lasted to our times, constitute a valuable historical source not only because of the fact that their owner lived in a period rich in events important for the history of Polish bibliography, literature, or the Polish nation itself, but also because the written legacy of this director of the Jagiellonian Library can also be analysed with regard to his workshop, which consisted of materials and notes. One of the manuscripts included in Estreicher’s diaries contains his first notes and fragments of the text entitled A Memory of Bruno Bielawski. Their version published after Estreicher’s death, clearly echoes those first essays, although it is not so emotionally tinged. The manuscript, quoted as a whole, is an excellent testimony of the intimacy which existed between Estreicher and Bielawski, as well as of the history of Estreicher’s posthumous note devoted to his friend, who was also a publisher and a poet.
