Abstract
In 1994, the World Trade Organization’ agriculture agreement was a breaking point in the traditional agricultural policies. With the agreement, agricultural policies incrementally were purified from government intervention, agricultural production and trade were left to guide by market mechanism. 2001 WTO Doha negotiations attempted to move forward liberalization process in agricultural policies. However, the drought triggered a food crisis in 2007 was a new turning point for global agricultural policies, changed priority in the formation of policies. After the world war П, food security priority became a strategic target again. Radical changes of new orientations observed in agricultural policies in the new century constitute interest in this study. A reflection of new orientations in agricultural policies at country level are examined under ‚changes in Turkey’s agriculture policies‛.
