Y GENERATION – A CHALLENGE FOR HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENTS

Abstract
This article attempts to answer the question what are the greatest challenges facing HR departments in connection with the phenomenon of generation Y, which was formed as a result of changes taking place in society, culture, and also due to the constant and rapid technological de-velopment. There has been done an analysis of selected literature, articles published in professional journals and the results of the tests already carried out in this area. Then there will be presented examples of situations in which the phenomenon of generation Y influences the work of the HR departments and the need to make appropriate changes, in respect of their human resources policy.
