Abstract
Статья содержит результаты исследования современного зарубежного опыта наиболее развитых стран в сфере высшего образования в условиях охватившей ее мирохозяйственной глобализации. В статье отражены аргументы в пользу приоритетности качества услуг рассматриваемой сферы для повышения конкурентоспособности страны. Отмечена противоречивость баланса возможных опасностей и выгод от вовлечения сферы высшего образования отдельных стран в процессы мирохозяйственной глобализации, сформулирован ряд предложений, благоприятствующих развитию научно-образовательного потенциала высшего образования, с учетом реалий обостряющейся международной конкуренции.
