Zapalenie nadkłykcia bocznego kości ramiennej - diagnostyka i rehabilitacja
Journal Title: Rehabilitacja w Praktyce - Year 2017, Vol 1, Issue 6
Abstract
Lateral epicondylitis is a painful condition that usually occurs in middle-aged people. It is the result of overloads within the extensor tendons of the wrist, microinjuries and the formation of degenerative changes. Symptoms typically occur during the supination of the forearm against resistance and during the dorsiflexion of the wrist, especially at the full extension of the elbow. The disease is a challenge for clinicians because of the difficulty in its treatment and proneness to recurrent symptoms. The average duration of a typical episode of tennis elbow is 6 to 24 months. The article presents functional diagnostics and physiotherapeutic procedures applied in the conservative treatment of tennis elbow.
