Zasoby osobiste polskich seniorów w kontekście zadań pracy socjalnej z osobami starszymi

Abstract
EN: Aim: An aim of presented examinations was recognizing the level of personal resources (social support and sense of coherence) of seniors with the different activity level and reflection over tasks of the social work with elderly people in strengthening them in processes of the successful ageing. Social workers organising the local community, in relation to demographic changes, are acting largely for and with seniors. This article is being taken back to the being of strengthening personal resources in the context of social work. Material and methods: Altogether 200 seniors constituted the examined group – 100 listeners consisted at Universities of the Third Age in Poland and 100 persons not belonging to UTA, or other activating organization. In examinations was used a method of estimating with numerical and adjectival scales. The author used: Sense of Coherence Questionnaire – SOC-29 (Aaron Antonovsky) and Norbeck Social Support Questionnaire – NSSQ (Jane S. Norbeck). Results: Examined the Third Age Universities listeners are demonstrating the highest level of sense of coherence and the highest level of social support than seniors not taking the initiative in activating organizations. Conclusions: Results of research are pointing out to the need of creating real opportunities of organising the local communities for the activating seniors, because it is supporting building of seniors personal resources, so as social support in the most immediate environment and the sense of coherence. Exploiting the potential of elderly people in the environment, has strong meaning in widely understood supporting one another and improving the local environment, but also is supporting conducts undertaken by seniors for the active ageing. Social workers operating in the environment are able to identify needs of elderly people, as well as to satisfy them by implementing the method of organizing the local community
