Zjawisko hazardu rozpatrywane w kontekście psychospołecznego funkcjonowania adolescentów

Abstract
Celem artykułu jest omówienie współwystępowania różnych czynników psychospołecznych z rozwojem zachowań hazardowych u adolescentów. Artykuł zawiera także charakterystykę czynników chroniących i czynników ryzyka związanych z problemem hazardu. Hazard staje się popularną formą aktywności osób młodych. Podobnie jak osoby dorosłe większość adolescentów gra rekreacyjnie, traktuje hazard jako formę rozrywki, nie doświadczając przy tym poważnych konsekwencji. Istnieje jednak pewna istotna grupa młodych osób, która wykazuje nadmierną aktywność hazardową i z tego powodu ponosi istotne koszty psychologiczne, społeczne, finansowe. Z danych statystycznych zgromadzonych przez CBOS wynika, że problem hazardu dotyczy nie tylko osób dorosłych, ale także adolescentów. Rezultaty badań wskazują, że czynniki demograficzne, indywidualne, rodzinne oraz relacje rówieśnicze są istotnymi korelatami występowania ryzykownych, problemowych zachowań związanych z hazardem.
