Abstract
The article is focused on the relevance and importance of differentiating competences and powers between executive bodies and local self-government bodies, taking into account the current state of this process and its administrative and legal regulation. The points of view of lawyers on the importance of delineation of competence and authority between executive authorities and local governments in Ukraine were generalized and analyzed, and as a result the author's position on this matter was formulated.
