1-(4-(4-(2-(METHYLAMINO)PYRIMIDIN-4-YL)PYRIDIN-2-YL)PHENYL)-3-SUBSTITUTED UREA DERIVATIVES BY USING SEQUENTIAL SUZUKI-MIYAURA CROSS-COUPLING REACTIONS: SYNTHESIS, CHARACTERIZATION AND ANTIMICROBIAL ACTIVITY

Abstract

In this report we describe, a new class of 1-(4-(4-(2-(methylamino)pyrimidin-4-yl)pyridin-2-yl)phenyl)-3-substituted urea derivatives (5a-g) were synthesized using Sequential Suzuki-Miyaura Cross-coupling reactions followed by aminolysis with different amines . All compounds that were synthesized are characterized and evaluated for their in vitro antibacterial and antifungal activities. Urea derivatives bearing pyrimidine moiety (5c) showed good antimicrobial activities against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria as well as fungi.
