A Child with Tethered Cord Syndrome

Abstract
Tethered cord syndrome mengacu pada sejumlah gangguan neurologis yang berkaitan dengan malformasi medulla spinalis, berupa tertariknya medulla spinalis ke basis canalis spinalis. Tethered cord syndrome dapat ditemukan pada semua usia, tetapi paling sering pada anak-anak. Beberapa anak mengeluh nyeri difus pada ekstremitas inferior atau gejala urologi, 20%-30 % pasien akan menderita neurogenic bladder. Seorang anak perempuan berusia 9 th, mengeluh nyeri pada flank dan enuresis. Teraba massa pada flank kanan. Pada pemeriksaan USG, ditemukan hidronefrosis dan hidroureter dupleks dengan trabeculated bladder. Pemeriksaan Voiding cystoureterography menunjukkan gambaran refluks vesikoureter grade V. MRI lumbosakral menunjukkan adanya tethered cord dengan lipoma dan spina bifida di dekatnya (Sains Medika, 4(1):89-96).
