Abstract

Commentary the verses of holy Quran was a debatable issue in terms of its sci- enti c identity since a long time ago. Some scientists have claimed that the science of commentary the verses of Quran is not a science because it does not go under a certain grand and comprehensive topic. In addition, these issues go under the title of the major topic and the principles identify their origins. They see it as a forgiving science which bene ts from the rules of high science or they are pieces of information which emerge from other sciences. However, this opinion is not accepted in general. Actually, the idea that assumes commentary the verses of Quran is an entire and separate science has got a high percentage of agreement. Yet, the actual situation shows us who has knowledge on the other Islamic sciences, history, linguistics, rhetoric and the other positive human sciences because it possesses the legal conversation in the holy Quran and has the power and ef ciency in commentary all the verses of holy Quran according to their specialty. It paves the way to using the holy Quran as though it is the position of con rmation for all the ideas whether they were relied upon the holy Quran or not. Therefore, clarifying this issue (whether it is a science or not) must be done in order to avoid the actual and negative issue. Showing the characteristics of this science and its ef ciency in this respect will prevent the rest of the sciences from entering the eld of commentary.
