A Review on Implementation of TPM in Manufacturing Industry
Journal Title: International Journal of Modern Engineering Research (IJMER) - Year 2014, Vol 4, Issue 11
Abstract
The intent of the study is to appraise the challenges faced by manufacturing industries to implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). The scheme of this research is to critically analyze the factors influencing TPM implementation in manufacturing organizations, and to formulate comprehensive strategy for overcoming impediments to successful TPM implementation. The introduction of several philosophies such as Corrective Maintenance (CM), Preventive Maintenance (PM) or Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) have allowed extra solutions to a process planning problem faced by company in comparison to the conventional fire-fighting syndrome. This main purpose of this study was to focus on developing a framework of maintenance strategy TPM initiatives to confront exponential global challenges

Design, Simulation and Implementation of Flyback based, True Single Stage, Isolated, Power Factor Corrected AC-DC Converter for Solar Array Simulators
Presently most of the Power Factor correction circuits are based on boost topology. They consist of two stages, one being the power factor correction (pre-regulator) and later DC-DC conversion stage. This paper pre...
Online Bus Arrival Time Prediction Using Hybrid Neural Network and Kalman filter Techniques
The ability to obtain accurate predictions of bus arrival time on a real time basis is vital to both bus operations control and passenger information systems. Several studies have been devoted to this arrival tim...
A Robust Watermarking Technique Based On Dwt on Digital Images
In this paper a robust watermark scheme for copyright protection is proposed. By modifying the original image in transform domain and embedding a watermark in the difference values between the original image and its refe...
A mechanistic study of the initial stage of the sintering of sol-gel derived silica nanoparticles
Abstract: Dried silica gel powders were prepared by acid catalyzed controlled hydrolysis followed by polycondensation of tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) in 1:1 by volume water-alcohol solution. The dried powders we...
