A study of the effects of re-participation intentions in skiing: based on an impulsive consumption elicitation model

Journal Title: Health Science and Management - Year 2024, Vol 3, Issue 2

Abstract

Enhancing the willingness to re-participate in skiing is of great significance in promoting the sustainable development of ice and snow sports. This study investigated the influence mechanism of impulsive consumption triggering on the willingness to re-participate in skiing from the psychological perspective of ski athletes. The study showed that personality trait elicitation, marketing stimulus elicitation, and consumption context elicitation had a significant positive effect on the willingness to re-participate in skiing. Heart flow experience also had a significant positive effect on the willingness to re-engage in skiing, while risk perception inhibited the willingness to re-engage in skiing. At the same time, the mind-flow experience and risk perception all have mediating effects in the relationship between impulsive consumption evocation and skiing re-engagement intention.
