A STUDY ON THE DETERMINATION OF EFFICACY OF UNIVERSITIES: TURKEY CASE

Abstract
In this study; the efficacies of universities in Turkey which are sources of information economics have been analyzed using data envelope analysis. The study assessed the activities of 100 state universities based on the data of year 2013. In this context, total student/faculty member, total student / associate faculty member, research area/faculty member, the field of study/total student and social area/total student, while a number of students and index number were included in the analysis as outputs. According to the results, the universities in the number of 9 were found active according to the input-oriented CCR and 27 of them were found active according to the input-oriented BCC.
