ACTIVITY OF ENTERPRISES OF THE UKRAINIAN COUNCIL OF ARTISTIC-INDUSTRIAL ORGANIZATIONS AFTER THE NAZI OCCUPATION

Abstract
In the article the history of enterprises of the crafts cooperation is researched on the basis of archival materials. These enterprises managed to preserve the traditions of national applied art in the everyday life culture of Ukrainians during the rule of Soviet power in Ukraine, working under the economic conditions of self-financing and cooperation in producing and marketing of their products. An important aspect of the study is the state of social and political conditions defining the activity of Ukrainian cooperatives and collectives to provide population’s basic needs, helping ordinary people to survive in the postwar chaos. The main conclusion of the article is the ascertaining that the formation and support of the national Weltanschauung of the Ukrainians was provided by small cooperative associations even under the difficult conditions of totalitarian regime.
