ACTIVITY OF JUDGE: GENDER ASPECT

Abstract
The article deals with the activities of the judge through the prism of the gender dimension of the issue, its specificity is analyzed depending on the gender of the judge. The state of gender asymmetry in the judiciary career is revealed. The emphasis is on the presence in the modern society of certain stereotypes of the behavior of judges during the trial, taking into account gender, but their existence is somewhat arbitrary and not always confirmed in practice. It is justified that the image of a female lawyer, and especially a female judge, is relatively new. This is due to the constant domination of men in the regulated social relations, and so at the present stage, female judges won their place in the judicial system of Ukraine, the number of women judges in Ukraine is growing every year, which indicates a gradual «feminization of Femida».
