Acute Glomerulonephritis: Clinical and Pathologic Features (Case Report)
Journal Title: Нирки - Year 2016, Vol 1, Issue 15
Abstract
Clinical observation demonstrates the case of acute postinfectious glomerulonephritis with its histopathological features with the preexisting injury of renal tubules — cystic kidney disease of undefined type. The patient Kh., 20 years old, received pathogenetic treatment of acute postinfectious glomerulonephritis by glucocorticoids and cytostatic drugs. Despite the therapy, glomerulonephritis clinical symptoms inexorably progressed, nephrotic syndrome developed, leading to critical loss of plasma proteins, coagulation system disorders like DIC-syndrome, with subsequent alignment of uremia. Presumably, glucocorticoid resistance is related to preexisting tubular injury, characterized by impaired function and, maybe, genetically determined factors, too.
