Adaptive medical image watermarking technique based on wavelet transform

Abstract
Watermark embedding is a process which carries out by transform medical image into the wavelet domain. While the adaptive thresholding can be described as computed which determine the appropriate location in order to make the watermark is hiding in coefficients of the image. Due to obtaining the medical image fidelity, the data of watermark has been embedded in the coefficients which having lesser sensitive into the system of human vision. Due to conserve the authentication of the medical image, this paper aims to proposed adaptive medical image watermarking method which depends on the wavelet transform and properties of the human visual system. The result of experimental shown that the degradation by embedding the watermark is smaller to be visualized and the proposed adaptive watermarking method is capable to remain the fidelity of the medical image. The fidelity performance of the proposed technique was evaluated via three image quality metrics which are PSNR, UQI, and SSIM. The result of the evaluation shown the high results of the proposed method of respect with the fidelity of the medical image.
