An Attempt to comparing the educational institutions of the Dorminion Brotherhood and the Society of Jesus in Lviv

Abstract
In this article attempts to compare the educational institutions of the Lviv Dormition brotherhood and of the Society of Jesus. Based on available materials made an analysis of the financial and organizational foundations of both educational institutions. The description of their features was made. Also defined the common and distinctive features. Shown the key stages of the development and formation of these education centres, through which passed a whole pleiades of prominent figures of science and culture of his time. Analyzed the main works that formed instructional process. The main principles of the learning process are highlighted. An important result of this research was the detection of a large number of common features, which united both institutions, that illustrates the commonality of educational-cultural space in the region in general and the city in particular. On the basis of the obtained results, conclusions were made for further research. In general, this topic is very important for researchers and all, who interested in the history of Lviv, Dorminion brotherhood and Society of Jesus. Especially this theme is important for refuting stereotypes about interconfessional conflicts, which will provide a good basis for establishing a dialogue between confessions in our time.
