An Effective Non-Invasive Joint Distraction Technique for Ankle Arthroscopy
Journal Title: Journal of Orthopedics & Rheumatology - Year 2016, Vol 3, Issue 2
Abstract
Both invasive and non-invasive methods of ankle joint distraction for arthroscopic procedures have been described. Challenges prevail in achieving an adequate joint distraction for instrumentation inside the ankle joint especially in patients of large stature. We describe a technique, which safely offers effective joint distraction during ankle arthroscopy without the need for resorting to traction pin.

Predictors of Mechanical Failure Rate in Reduction of Intertrochanteric Fracture of the Femur Using Proximal Femoral Nail with Helical Blade
Background: The optimal implant for reducing intertrochanteric fracture is unknown. Several bone-related, implant-related and radiological variables seem to play a role in predicting the rate of intraoperative and postop...

Total Knee Arthroplasty with a Lateral Centre of Rotation Design Retained Native Knee Joint Kinematics: A Cadaveric Study under Simulated Muscle Loads
Background: Since controversial results on the location of the centre of rotation in the native human knee joint exist, it is still unclear how the design of a total knee replacement should be in order to retain patients...
Femoroacetabular Impingement and Labral Tear Management: Review of Current Literature and Techniques

Topical Phytotherapeutic Treatment: Management of Normalization of Elevated Levels of Biochemical Parameter During Osteoarthritic Disorders: A prospective Study
Background: C-reactive protein (CRP), creatine kinase-muscle (CK-MM) and aldolase A (AldoA) levels are proven to be realistic biochemical markers of osteoarthritic disorders (OADs). The aim of this study is to normalize...
