Analiza wpływu szumów konwertera LNB na odbiór sygnałów satelitarnych

Abstract
One of the parameters to characterize the properties of the antenna is noise figure. The noise figure of LNBs is a measurement of how sensitive the LNB is or how much noise the LNB will add to the signal you may be intending to receive. In recent years we can observe a dynamic tendency to fast decrease of the noise figure of LNBs. Standard converters and waveguide converters used in polarizers and feedhorns have noise ratios of no more than 1.2-1.3 dB. Nowadays the converters with much lower noise figure about 0.5-0.6 dB, are also available on the market. The purpose of this article is to analyze the impact of noise figure of LNBs on the reception of satellite signals on the basis of modelled data from the laboratory station.
