Assessment of Transnational Threats Organized Crime

Abstract
The article deals with a comprehensive analytical report by the United Nations (UN) Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) on «Transnational Organized Crime and its Threats». The author defines the fundamental directions of combating transnational crime, taking into ac count the transformational processes that reflect the dynamics in the conditions of globalization. The purpose of this thematic study is to determine the fundamental directions of combating trans national crime, taking into account the transformational processes that reflect the dynamics in the conditions of globalization. The research highlights such topical issues as: sociological inter pretation and scale of this type of crime; varieties of transnational crime and prediction of the emergence of its new forms; definition of systemic criminological factors and factors; improving the legal framework and taking measures for prompt response and timely tracking of the situation in this area; an analysis of the activities of law enforcement agencies in the field of combating transnational crime and the possibility of developing international cooperation in the field of pre vention of it.
