Planning the Operation of a Hybrid Generation System in the Power System in a Multi-faceted Approach
The paper presents the results of a multi-criteria analysis of the cooperation of a hybrid generation system (HGS) with the power system. The analysed system consists of wind turbines, photovoltaic panels and an energy s...
Maximisation of Combined Cycle Power Plant Efficiency
The paper presents concepts for increasing the efficiency of a modern combined cycle power plant. Improvement of gas turbine performance indicators as well as recovering heat from the air cooling the gas turbine’s flow s...
Application of Voltage-regulating and Phaseshifting Transformers to Control Power Flows in the Power System
Transmission system performance results from, among other factors, the use of devices for electricity transmission and transformation. Proper operation and control of these devices allows maintaining proper electricity p...
Model Tests of Under Frequency Load Shedding (UFLS) for Con-nected Systems of Continental Europe
The task force set up by working group System Protection and Dynamics within ENTSO-E model tests of Under Fre-quency Load Shedding (UFLS) for connected systems of continental Europe were carried out. Over 360 simulation...
