BASICS OF CLINICAL RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Abstract
The word ‘research’ is derived from the French “recerche”, meaning “to go about seeking”. In its broadcast sense it means ‘any gathering of data, information and facts for the advancement of knowledge’. The Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary defines as a research as a knowledge and “a studious inquiry or examination (especially investigation or experimentation) aimed at the discovery and interpretation of facts, revision of accepted theories or laws in the light of new facts or practical application of such new or revised theories of laws.
