[b]IAR-99 GVT CORRELATION FOR DYNAMICS STORES FEM[/b]
Journal Title: INCAS BULLETIN - Year 2011, Vol 3, Issue 1
Abstract
In this presentation, we will concentrate on typical Ground Vibration Test (GVT) and Finite Element (FE) comparisons software. It is necessary to note, that standard GVT are obligatory for any new aircraft configuration. We can mention here the investigations of the IAR-99, modern trainer and ground attack aircraft, using PRODERA[sup]®[/sup] GVT equipment. A Finite Element Model (FEM) of the IAR-99 has been developed in PATRAN/NASTRAN[sup]®[/sup], partly from a previous ANSYS[sup]®[/sup] model. FEM can be used to investigate potential structural modifications or changes with realistic component corrections. Model validation should be part of every modern engineering analysis and quality assurance procedure.

Local correlations for flap gap oscillatory blowing active flow control technology
Active technology for oscillatory blowing in the flap gap has been tested at INCAS subsonic wind tunnel in order to evaluate this technology for usage in high lift systems with active flow control. The main goal for this...
Longitudinal Absolute Stability of a BWB Aircraft-Pilot System with Saturated Actuator Model
This paper deals with the analysis of the P(ilot) I(n-the-Loop) O(scillations) of the second category (with rate and position liming in the closed loop pilot-vehicle system), caused by the dynamic coupling between the hu...
