CHARACTERISTIC POTENTIAL OF MICROHYDRONYMS (ON THE MATERIAL OF VINNYTSIA REGION)

Abstract
In the article are researched microhydronyms of Vinnytsia region, which are provided with significant characteristic potential. The objects of research are names of lakes, ponds, wells, peatlands, valleys. The source of origin of microhydronyms were process of toponymization and transonymisation. The article deals with derivatives of common names. Among them we distinguish the names that characterize the water reservoir and the names that characterize the surrounding area.
