CHARACTERISTICS OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF TRANSPORTATION LOGISTICAL ENTERPRISES IN A VUCA WORLD

Abstract
The characteristics of the development of transportation logistical enterprises, which are caused by the features of the modern world - volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity, have been studied. These features force businesses to respond to changes very quickly, to apply global thinking and to be highly adaptable. The term «development» has been defined, the scenario approach to strategic planning of enterprise development has been justified, the issues of the adaptation as well as the introduction of modern communications have been considered and the conceptual model of the development of transportation logistical enterprises in these conditions has been suggested in this article. Based on the suggested conceptual model, a number of core issues revealing the methodology of the strategic development of transportation logistical enterprises in the modern world have been determined. Development has also been considered on the basis of the introduction of effective forms of organization such as a cluster or holding companies which provide the opportunity to build long-term relationships along the value chain.
