Abstract
The article attempts to characterize the phenomenon of “street people”through the prism of selected categories such as the homeless, beggars, vic-tims of trafficking, vagrants and street children. The directions of assistance measures taken for street people by state-owned social policy entities as well as non-governmental organizations were also presented. The end of the arti-cle presents recommendations.
