COMMODITY EXCHANGE MARKET PROBLEMS AND WAYS OF ITS DEVELOPMENT IN UKRAINE

Abstract
Purpose – analyze the state of the stock market in Ukraine today, identify its problems and directions of development in order to create a holistic, highly effective structure which is able to integrate into the global exchange space. Methodology of research. Theoretical and methodological basis of research is regulations and domestic scientists’ works about the organization of exchanges. For the task used the following methods: induction and deduction – for theoretical generalizations and conclusions, method of analogies – for comparing foreign experience of organization of commodity exchanges activity; economics and statistics – for the analysis of commodity exchange market; time series analysis and graphical method – for investigating the trends of commodity exchange market functioning. Findings. In the article the state and problems of domestic commodity exchanges are investigated. The structure of the exchange goods and exchange contracts on domestic exchanges is analyzed. Suggestions for commodity exchange market development in Ukraine for integration into the global exchange space are grounded. Particular attention is paid to the improvement of the legal framework, implementation of electronic exchange trading, and active using of commodity exchange derivatives as reducing price risks tools. Originality. Justification of the theoretical and methodological foundations and practical recommendations for the commodity exchange market development of Ukraine, taking into account global trends through an integrated approach to the analysis of the current state of the domestic exchange market made it possible to identify the most actual directions and priorities of improvement of its functioning. Practical value. Results of research are aimed at solving the problems of commodity exchange market improvement in Ukraine and can be used by state regulators of commodity exchange market in Ukraine and domestic commodity exchanges.
