Comparison of Transmission Capacities of Two Regulation Systems: Lateral and in-phase Control Transformers
Journal Title: Acta Energetica - Year 2016, Vol 27, Issue 2
Abstract
This paper presents a comparison of regulation capabilities of lateral and in-phase control transformers in a selected node of a power system. Their regulation capabilities are presented, as well as cross-system exchange options.

Analysis of Technical Possibilities of Photovoltaic and Wind Sources Playing in an Ancillary Service of Frequency and Power Regulation
Together with a growing share of renewable energy sources (RES) in the generation sector of power systems, the interest of power grid operators in the possibilities of their use for regulation purposes is growing. The po...
Resonant Conditions in a Node with an SVC Compensator
The primary purpose of installing static shunt compensators in power grids is to improve the voltage conditions. Additional reactive power sources increase the system’s voltage stability and enable faster system recovery...
The Impact of Smart Grids on Sustainable Development
The paper discusses the impact of smart grid on sustainable development. The first chapter is an introduction to the discussed topics. The second chapter describes man’s attitude toward the environment, and also provides...
Impact of Voltage Conditions on Distributed Generation Connectivity in Medium Voltage Grids
A significant increase in the distributed generating sources connected and planned for connection to medium voltage (MV) grids makes voltage criteria very important in assessing the sources’ connectivity. Many requests h...
Hardware-Software Implementation of Basic Principles Simulator of Nuclear Reactor Processes
The paper presents implementation process of basic principle simulators of a nuclear reactor processes. Simulators are based on point-models of processes: kinetics of neutrons, heat generation and exchange, poisoning and...
