CONSTRUCTION LABOR PROTECTION AND INDUSTRIAL SAFETY CONTROL SYSTEM AND BIM-TECHNOLOGY AS A POSSIBLE TOOL IN THE SAWC (SPECIAL ASSESSMENT OF WORKING CONDITIONS) SYSTEM AND A RISK-BASED APPROACH

Abstract

The urgency of work is caused by the fact that the main task of occupational safety and health in the construction industry is to ensure safe working conditions, preserve the life and health of workers, reduce accidents during construction and installation works. In the article the approaches to control and supervising activity in the fi eld of labor protection, aimed at ensuring safe working conditions while performing production processes are reviewed. Two options were analyzed: they are a system of people’s life and health protection in the course of their work – SAWC (Special assessment of working conditions) and Risk-based approach – as a method of organizing state control depending on the class (category) of the enterprise.The article proposes a new tool based on BIM-technology, which can be an additional assessment tool among the existing methods to improve safety. The article notes that the developed tool using the application of BIM-technology is universal, it can enter into the system of remote collection of operational information (remote monitoring) for the inspected object and be adapted for any kind of industrial production.
