Construction of Rectangular Window Linear Time Verient Filter for Noise Concellation Using FRFT
Journal Title: International Journal of Electronics Communication and Computer Technology - Year 2014, Vol 4, Issue 1
Abstract
The Direct sequence spread spectrum concepts are important for achieving better performance of communication systems. The suppression of interference noise present in the spread spectrum communication systems is essential for achieving the specified system performance. Most of the existing interference suppression methods do not perform well for non stationary signals in the present paper Interference suppression schemes based on orthogonal time-frequency decomposition, wavelets and arbitrary time-frequency signals have been considered. These methods often reduce interference substantially; however their performance depends on mathematical modeling for minor changes in interference characteristics such as the center frequency. By using rectangular window methods for fractional Fourier transform with blind interference excision scheme appears promising for mitigating time-frequency induced interference. Simulations of narrowband interference are compared with the performance of the linear time variant filter. The filter performance is evaluated with existing fractional Fourier transform (FRFT) techniques for different Jamming-to-Signal Ratios (JSR) starting from 20 dB to 100 dB in steps of 10 dB. The Simulation results of the proposed synthetic model algorithm shows that there is considerable improvement in Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) and better interference suppression with rectangular FRFT filtering of the DS-SS signal.
