Copper alloy coatings manufactured by oxy-fuel thermal spray onto a porcelain substrate
Journal Title: TecnoLógicas - Year 2015, Vol 18, Issue 35
Abstract
A coated system consisting of a ceramic substrate and a coating of a copper alloy was developed in order to provide electrically conductive properties to specific surface of the substrate. The coatings were elaborated by oxy-fuel thermal spraying processes. The best way to prepare the surface of the substrate was previously determined to achieve a sufficient adherence of copper alloy particles on the ceramic substrate. In order to manufacture the coatings an Eutectic Castolin 21071TM powder was used, the oxy-fuel flames were produced from two different volumetric acetylene-oxygen ratios (1:1.15 and 1:2.5) obtaining a reducing and oxidizing flame respectively. The effect of surface preparation of the substrate, the coating thickness and the energy of the flame on the structure and coating adhesion wer

Analysis of the efficiency of a virtualoptical multiplexing method, by using theta modulation
We present an efficient virtual-optical multiplexing method for compressing information contained in gray level images. The efficiency is measured using three parameters: quality factors of...
Effect of storage time and packaging system on minimally processed green pepper (Capsicum annuum)
Green peppers, a Solanaceaecultivated in tropical zones, are used as natural food coloring and flavoring. Considered perishable vegetables, they are usually stored between 7.5 and 8° C in order...
Equivalent circuits for simulating irregular PV arrays under partial shading conditions
Modeling and simulation of photovoltaic (PV) systems are open research areas since I-V and P-V curves are commonly required to analyze the performance of PV installations. To obtain such curves commercial software packag...
Feature extraction based on time-singularity multifractal spectrum distribution in intracardiac atrial fibrillation signals
Non-linear analysis of electrograms (EGM) has been proposed as a tool to detect critical conduction sites (e.g., rotors vortex, multiple wavefronts) in atrial fibrillation (AF). Likewise, studies have...
Numerical and experimental validation with bifurcation diagrams for a controlled DC–DC converter with quasi-sliding control
This paper presents a stability analysis of a buck converter usinga Zero Average Dynamics (ZAD) controller and Fixed-Point Induction Control (FPIC) when the control parameter 푁, the reference vo...
