CYFRYZACJA: SZANSE I ZAGROŻENIA PUBLICZNEJ TELEWIZJI REGIONALNEJ

Abstract
The main obstacles to creating regional terrestrial television stations in Poland are financial in nature. In the article, digitization is being examined on the organizational and legal basis. The author makes use of the image and the social reach of TVP Katowice. The author concludes that, subscription is one of the most important necessary conditions for the operation of local public television.
