DESACRALIZATION OF THE CONCEPT «GREKH» («SIN») IN NATIONAL CONSCIOUSNESS (according to the data of the Modern Russian language)

Abstract
The article is devoted to the problem of desacralization of the concept «grekh» («sin») in ordinary consciousness of native speakers, which is reflected both in system-linguistic meaning of the word «grekh» («sin») and in its speech realization in different contexts. The author treats desacralization as stylistic decrease of words which primarily expressed high spiritual, religious and moral values. It reflects the general tendency to decrease the level of high value of terms in their transition from religious communicative sphere into the worldly one. The phenomenon of «desacralization» is analyzed on the example of the concept «grekh» («sin») functioning in Modern Russian national language consciousness. Main Russian vocabularies and the data of Russian National Corpus come out as sources of the material for analysis. It is proved, that desacralization of concept «grekh» («sin») is expressed in understanding of a sin as excusable human weakness within lexical meaning of the word. In connotational sphere it possesses contextual positive evaluation because it has a shade of light-hearted attitude to sin, which reflects modern realia of our spiritually deprived consumer society.
