Design and Implementation of Inverter for driving Induction Motor using DSPACE
Journal Title: International Journal for Research in Applied Science and Engineering Technology (IJRASET) - Year 2016, Vol 4, Issue 11
Abstract
This paper presents the design and implementation of inverter system for driving both single phase , three phase Induction motor using DSPACE with the controlling objectives PWM and SVPWM . AC motor drives are widely used to control the speed of pumps, blowers, machine tool speeds, conveyor systems etc that require variable speed with variable torque. The project will be commenced by a basic understanding of the PWM, SVPWM Inverters, the components used in its design. After this it will be attempted to simulate using MATLAB and further enhanced through hardware circuit by interfacing through DSPACE and analyse the output waveforms for various values of the elements used in the circuit and hence study the system response and instabilities. Here the hardware unit of Single phase Inverter driving Induction Motor is implemented using DSPACE.
