Design of Thermoelectric Starting Pre-Heater on Gas Fuel
Journal Title: Фізика і хімія твердого тіла - Year 2018, Vol 19, Issue 3
Abstract
This paper presents the results of computer simulation of thermoelectric starting pre-heater on liquefied gasfuel for easier starting of vehicle engines under low ambient temperatures. The physical model of the heater ispresented, its mathematical description is given, the method and results of calculations of the main energy andstructural characteristics of the device in the software environment "Comsol Multiphysics" are presented. It is shown that the use of the thermoelectric converter as a source of electric energy provides autonomousoperation of the heater components and allows solving the problem of discharging the vehicle battery during theoperation of the pre-start equipment.
