Diagnosing Dental Caries: An Insight

Abstract
Dental caries is one of the most common dental diseases till date and its detection at right time plays a very important role in arresting its progress and also to save the tooth from potential damage. Various techniques for detecting dental caries are available presently. This article briefly covers the various methods available right from old techniques to the newer advances in dental caries detection. Basic aim is to highlight the importance of caries detection and to understand the application of better and easier methods with greater sensitivity and specificity.
