ЭКСТРАПОЛЯЦИЯ ВЕТХОЗАВЕТНЫХ НРАВСТВЕННЫХ КАНОНОВ НА СОВРЕМЕННОСТЬ В ПЬЕСЕ НАДЕЖДЫ ПТУШКИНОЙ «ОВЕЧКА»

Abstract
The paper deals with the comprehension of some features of biblical poetics in the postmodern drama of playful nature by N. Ptushkina on the conceptual, content (theme, point, problem, pathos) level and on the level of internal, artistic (plot, composition type) form. The drama is based on the story of the rivalry between the biblical characters Jacob and Esau, Jacob and Laban, Leah and Rachel. Attention is drawn to the structure of the play whose plot lines are regarded as a manifestation of the author’s parodic and ironic play with the Old Testament. There are two main themes: 1) the theme of deception and forgiveness and 2) the theme of passion and love. The play by N. Ptushkina gives rise to a lot of questions and claims, but the playwright recognizes the Bible as the highest standard of poetic art, although familiarly reinterprets it to express her cruel view of modern humanity, peace, love.
