Elements of Drawing Theory and Technology of the High Mechanical Strength Wires in Ultrasonic Field
Journal Title: Analele Universitatii "Dunarea de Jos" din Galati. Fascicula IX, Metalurgie si Stiinta Materialelor - Year 2009, Vol 32, Issue 1
Abstract
In the paper are presented elements of drawing theory and technology of the high mechanical strength wires, when the auger die is located in the maximum of the waves oscillation and it is activated on drawing direction. Force parameters are determined based on the theorem of total consumed power considering metal-tool friction Coulomb type. In order to form a stable system of stationary waves into processed wire there are used ultrasonic energy reflectors. The experiments are accomplished in laboratory on wires made of RUL 1V/ AISI 52100.

Challenges in Corrosion Protection Using Vegetable Extracts as Inhibitors - Electrochemical Studies
Corrosion is an irreversible chemical or electrochemical reaction of a material with its surrounding environment or medium which results in consumption of the material or in dissolution into the material of a component o...
Design and Flow Modelling of Ballast Tank In-Line Ejector
The purpose of this paper is to present the stages of designing a water in-line ejector used for ballast tanks stripping operation. The design operation was performed using NX Siemens CAD and ANSYS 15 for computer fluid...
Chemical and Structural Changes for Bimetallic Materials Obtained by the Welding Process
This paper presents the transformations which take place during the obtaining process of bimetallic materials. As a plating process was used the welding. The added material was a bronze with aluminum complex alloyed with...
New Welding Techology – the Cold Welding on Cogged Surfaces
Welding by cold pressing on cogged surfaces, produces the joint of a component made from an easy deformable metal by pressing on the cogged surface of a harder metal component. Different welds between aluminium (the easy...
Influence of the Anodic Oxidation Treatment on the Corrosion Behaviour of Aluminium and Aluminium Alloys
This paper deals with the effect of anodic oxidation treatment on the corrosion behaviour of 6061 aluminium alloy in natural sea water. Anodic oxidation treatment leads to the formation of an amorphous oxide layer on the...
