En río revuelto ganancia de Pescador. El gremio marítimo y el peronismo: un estudio de la huelga de 1950
Journal Title: Revista de Estudios Marítimos y Sociales - Year 2008, Vol 1, Issue 1
Abstract
Framed in a research project which pretends to know how the working class participated during the Peronism, the following article will study the maritime strike of 1950. That conflict had great relevance, not only because a big part of the national ports stopped during two months but also because of its repercussion in many foreign ports after the International Transport Federation had declared the “boycott” of the Argentine ships in solidarity with the maritime workers of our country. Despite this magnitude, the conflict has been hardly considered by the studies of that period. Therefore, the analysis will let us recover one episode in the labor struggles, describe the actions of one non-peronist directed trade union and add to our knowledge of the dynamics of the conflicts of the trade unions during the peronist government.
