EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCHES OF ENERGY LOADING OF FRIC-TION PAIRS OF BAND-BLOCK BRAKES WITH AN AIR-LIQUID COOLING SYSTEM (part three)

Abstract
The materials of the article show the optimization design of the composite brake pulley, with heat currents circulation in it and the gradients of the heat transfer coefficients. The purpose of the work is to justify the approach and design the composite brake pulley with air-liquid cooling system. In this publication, the following issues are considered in relation to the problem being solved: heat exchange processes for air-liquid cooling of improved friction pairs of a band-block brake; design evaluation of the energyloading of the composite brake pulley; optimization design of the composite brake pulley. We’ve illustrated the calculation and experimental method for determining the losses to the environment by the surfaces of composite brake pulleys under industrial conditions under natural and forced cooling by air with the following design of brake pulley.
